Complimentary Training / Alabama Citizens

The MRWTC is now open to the General Public for training.  Alabama Citizens in Montgomery and surrounding areas can register for MRWTC classes, in person, at the Montgomery Career Center located at: 1060 East South Blvd., Montgomery, AL 36116.  There are no fees to attend any of the classes.  The programs available are:

  • Workforce Skills 3-day Workshop
  • Machining Core Training Program: Week 1-2
  • Machining Fundamentals Training Program: Week 3-6


To be considered for the program, applicants must meet each of the following requirements.  There are NO exceptions to this list:

  • Citizen of the State of Alabama
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Pass background check
  • Pass drug screen

Citizens must attend the Workforce Skills Workshop before being placed in the Machining Core Training Program.  The Workforce Skills Workshop can be 3-days, consisting of:

  • Workplace Behavior
  • Workforce Challenges
  • Critical Thinking
  • Facilitation Skills
  • Interpersonal Communications
  • Business Communication

Trainees must attend all of the classes in the two-week, Machining Core Training Program.  After completing the two-week program, trainees will:

  • Receive a basic certificate
  • Become eligible for our hiring pool, and
  • Advance to the Machining Fundamentals Training Program

Trainees who successfully complete the Machining Fundamental Training will receive a Machining Certificate and will be the first to be selected for review by our partnering companies.
