Covid-19 Closure Information


To combat the spread of the COVID-19, AIDT, in accordance with direction from  Governor Kay Ivey, Secretary of Commerce Greg Canfield, ADPH, and the CDC, is enacting an emergency operations plan.  We remain open, although all of our offices are closed to the public. 

We will begin to open training classes as quickly as possible. Ad new classes open, trainees will be notified of their new class time and schedule.  These classes will be limited in size and will follow social distancing guidelines.  Masks will be required in class and they will be provided to you each day you enter class. After each class, the training area will be sanitized for the next day.  If you are sick or are showing any signs of the symptoms of COVID-19 virus, you should not attempt to come to class.  Your temperature may be checked before each class.  If you do not feel comfortable attending a class that you are scheduled for, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  The email should include the following information:

  • Class/Company Name
  • Your Name
  • The Email you used to register for class
  • A working phone number
  • A short note that says you will not be attending class.

When we receive the email, we will notify the Project Manager that you will not be attending class.  It is very important that you send this email.  This email will allow us to put you into a different class for the same company later once the emergency conditions have been lifted.  There will be absolutely no penalty to you if you choose not to attend class, but you have to let us know.  In addition, for any classes that meet, you will be utilizing enhanced cleaning and sanitization methods for all classrooms.

MRWTC Expanding Reach to General Public; offers new classes

AIDT’s Montgomery Regional Workforce Training Center continues to work with companies throughout the River Region to provide training to their existing employees in areas of soft skills and some technical skills through our Manufacturing Fundamentals Training Program.
New partnerships were forged in 2017, including the Montgomery Career Center and Hope Inspired Ministries (H.I.M.) which are helping to reach underserved communities as classes for the public begin at MRWTC's new location within the One Center (formerly the Montgomery Mall). 
A new Machining Program was implemented in the Fall and has already begun to catch the eye of various companies throughout the River Region. Recent graduates were working within weeks of earning their certificates, further the mission of helping Alabamians find careers within the state.
“The machinist training received by our students at the MRWTC is second to none and absolutely essential for our students to take the next step forward in life,” Michael Coleman, Founder and Executive Director, Hope Inspired Ministries. “After several weeks of soft skill training at H.I.M., the MRWTC team takes them to a whole new level of preparedness by equipping our students with the hard skills they need to obtain and maintain high paying jobs.
We could not be more pleased with our partnership with MRWTC and look forward to many years of changing lives together.”
The MRWTC also relies on other partners, including the Montgomery Chamber, Montgomery Public Schools, and others, who have supported the MRWTC and its mission from the very beginning.
Currently, the MRWTC is beginning to move forward with offering a variety of classes based on company needs within the River Region. The new classes will include many Information Technology courses, computer courses, project management professional courses and many others.

The MRWTC Is Now Taking Online Payment

paypalThe MRWTC will now accept credit card payments for some of its classes, in partnership with the Montgomery Chamber. Classes that are excepting online payment will have a Paypal image in the listing. Because we are using PayPal's credit card processing system, clients will notice that once they have confirmed their class registration, they will be transferred to PayPal to complete the transaction.
