Cutting tools have many different shapes and angles, depending on the tool and the material being cut or machined. The Geometry aspect of this course covers how the tool is produced, ground, or sharpened to efficiently remove the desired material from the workpiece. The students/trainees will gain basic knowledge and understanding of the angles, shapes, and other aspects of single-point and multi-point cutting tools and be able to do offhand/freehand shaping, grinding, and sharpening of these tools.
