Business Clients
Course ID: A-TTT101

Category: Workforce Skills

This course defines the difference between education (knowing what the job is) and training (knowing how to do the job). Managers and supervisors in this course will learn and practice the practical skills they need to guide their employees toward improvement and success.

Adults learn differently, so different techniques are required. The factors of adult job performance are addressed because the adult trainer must be a motivator, a communicator, a leader and an evaluator.

Participants discover which of the four types of trainers they are. You learn the basics of instruction and how to control the classroom environment. Speaking skills, questioning, and responding to challenging situations are covered.

You will learn how to set up your classroom, develop the training program, and how to prepare visual training aids to support the lesson plan. Examples of the training outline are presented.

Finally, the importance of testing is addressed.
